Today, we're focused on creating eco-friendly, ethically produced tees and (future lines) clothings that inspire kids to express themselves and believe in their potential.

Join our journey in building a supportive community for parents and children to inspire the next generation of confident, resilient kids – continuously moving forward one tee at a time!

Our Legacy: Evan Ruby and Emiles Great-Grandmother

Ruby Jean Nash-Harris (1928-2016), born in High Coal, West Virginia, was the second of 10 children. At age 3, she was diagnosed with polio, and doctors predicted she'd never walk or have children. Despite these challenges, "Miss Ruby" held steadfast to her faith, eventually walking again, started a family and made a lasting impact an elementary school teacher in the Detroit Public Schools. Her life is a powerful example of resilience, spiritual strength, and dedication to community service.

Our Legacy: Evan Ruby and Emiles Great-Grandmother

Altha Mae Lowery (1928-2015), a proud Choctaw Indian (Choctaw: Chahta) from Ofahoma, Mississippi, was the fourth of 11 children. Deeply rooted in her cultural heritage from the Southeastern Woodlands, she played trombone in the all-girl band, "The Swinging Rays of Rhythm," during her time at Piney Woods School. A devout prayer warrior, Altha Mae committed herself to studying the Word of GOD and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her entire life.

Our Artist: Evan Ruby and Emiles Grandmother

Carolyn McGlown, a Native Detroiter, is the creative mind behind the unique artwork featured on EvanRuby tees. Encouraged by her mother, Altha Mae, to embrace creativity as a child, she was allowed to transform her imagination "thru crayon masterpieces" she drew on the walls of their home. Her passion for art led her to be transferred from third grade to a sixth-grade art class, a memory she fondly recalls.

A graduate of Cass Technical High School, Carolyn received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the Center for Creative Studies, College of Art and Design (Detroit, MI).
