Aaliyah Dana Haughton (January 16, 1979 – August 25, 2001), was an American singer, actress who first gained recognition at age of 10 when she appeared on one of my favorite television shows of all time, Star Search. Her album, One in a Million, sold three million copies in the United States and more than eight million copies worldwide.
